The wound contact layer provides a protective barrier between the wound and the external environment, while also promoting a moist wound healing environment. The silicone gel in the dressing helps to minimize pain and discomfort associated with dressing changes and supports tissue regeneration by minimizing the formation of scar tissue.
The Foryou Medical Silicone Wound Contact Layer is non-adherent, meaning it will not stick to the wound bed, which makes it easy to remove without causing any trauma to the wound area. The dressing is also breathable, allowing for the exchange of gases and moisture, which is critical for maintaining the optimal conditions for wound healing.
BENEFITS:
Minimizes pain and potential trauma during dressing removal;
Semi-transparent for easy wound assesment;
Does not contain latex.
INDICATIONS:
Use as a protective barrier between wound and outer dressing for a variety of wounds, including:
Venous ulcers;
Pressure ulcers;
Dry to heavily exudating abrasions;
Surgical/trauma wounds;
1st and 2nd degree burns;
Cuts and lacerations;
